Hello! I thought it was about time to post another little blog here so here we go.
A lot has happened in the recent weeks, so I will hit the major events.
First was the Pearce wedding. Grant's best friend got married to a fabulous lady, Tracie. It was a country, hick, laid back wedding, but that is what they wanted. It was a lot of fun and just close friends. The wedding was Friday night and then the reception was the next day. The reception was a lot of fun because it started in the afternoon and went late into the night. A LOT happened that night but I am not going to get into details on that. I will say that pictures are posted on FB if you are interested. Mark and Devin both surprised us with interesting dance moves, but it was all fun! :)
We left on Sunday morning and then we hit the packing hard. We were moving on Monday morning, so we packed and got everything ready. Monday morning we woke up early to finish everything and started loading my car. We left around 9am, and on the way, the apartment office called us. Apparently the carpets did not get cleaned yet! We went to sign the lease and things, and we went to the apartment, but they were still doing the carpets, so we left to get coffee. When we got back, we unloaded, we put everything in the kitchen and bathroom cause the carpets were wet... by time we got back they were pretty much dry. We had help from Mark and Tracie. It went pretty well until it started raining on us, but otherwise went well. It was a long night of unpacking and trying to get settled in. The next morning we went to get another load, and we also cleaned the old place. Since I had to work, we had to cut it short. Grant got a lot done while I was working. The next few days were hectic of unpacking, organizing and trying to get settled.
The following Friday (only a few days after moving) we had Anna's Wedding (Grant's sister). We left Thursday night to go to rehearsal dinner but we were late for that... and Grant's car was having issues. We relaxed in the hotel that night. The next day, we relaxed more, went to lunch with some family and then got ready for the wedding. They did pictures and then the wedding was beautiful. We then enjoyed the reception. It was a great evening for everyone! :)
When we got back, I had to work, so my relaxing time was cut short. But we managed to complete a lot of things in a short time. That Sunday was my birthday, and my associate at work brought my cupcakes. After work, I picked up Grant and went to my mom's new place. (She moved the day before) we had chicken and cupcakes. And just enjoyed family time. It was a good relaxing evening :)
I know I have said that a lot, but I have realized that I have to relax when I am not working or at home because there are so many things that have to be done. BUT the past two days I have had off, so I decorated and finished unpacking. There are a few things that I have not done yet, I am trying to spread out the expenses of buying new things.... its a working progress.
In the past two weeks, Grant and I have gotten closer and so happy. He makes me so happy.
The end.
Peace.
